After the ultra successful Avatar, Sam Worthington is back to portray the role of a demi-god in the remake of the classic film Clash of the Titans 3D. In the movie Sam played the character of Perseus, a Greek hero who killed Medusa and claimed Andromeda as a wife after rescuing her from a sea monster.
Perseus is born of a god but raised as a man. He is powerless to save his family from the vengeful god of the underworld, Hades. With nothing left to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus and unleash hell on earth. Leading a daring band of warriors, Perseus sets off on a perilous journey deep into forbidden worlds. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, he will only survive if he can accept his power as a god, defy his fate and create his own destiny.
Clash of the Titans was first made into a film in 1981 with Harry Hamlin as Perseus and directed by Desmond Davis. I watched the 1981 version of the movie, and it’s good although it lack sophistication of the modern technology. The stunts and the visual effects are so lame which makes it looks funny but in overall assessment themovie is very good.

The Clash of the Titans 3D (2010) is directed by Louis Leterrier. The movie was supposed to be released last March 26, 2010 but it was later announced the movieis converted into 3D format hence the release date was moved on April 2, 2010.
Joining Sam Worthington in the cast are Liam Neeson as Zeus, Alexa Davalos as Andromeda, Ralph Fiennes as Hades, Izabella Miko as Athena, Natalia Vodianova as Medusa and a many more.
