In the upcoming film Ramona and Beezus, Disney Channel star Selena Gomez will tandem with the new comer Joey King as Beezes and Ramona respectively.


Ramona and Beezus is a film adaptation, based on the best-selling book Beezus and Ramona and featuring characters from the Ramona series of children’s novels by Beverly Cleary. The film is directed by Elizabeth Allen, who previously directed Aquamarine and was mainly shot in Vancouver, B.C., Canada.
At the age of nine years old, Joey King was selected from a nationwide casting call to play the role of rambunctious Ramona Quimby, while Wizards of Waverly Placestar, Selena Gomez will play Beatrice or Beezus, Ramona’s over-achieving older sister. They will be joined by John Corbett and Bridget Moynahan as the girls’ parents. And Ginnifer Goodwin will portray their Aunt Bea while Josh Duhamel will play their Uncle Hobart.
